Turning On My Sky Plus Box?

I normally leave my Sky Plus box on stand by overnight (i.e. just have the red light showing on the right). Today I have been unable to power up the box (i.e. get the light to turn green). Also the red light appears to be flickering was than a steady red.

Have tried turning of at the mains and removing the card and then reinserting it but all with no joy.

Any ideas gratefully received!
