driver window on rover 416-jammed! any help- will be much appreciated?

rover 400-416-p reg, cannot get electric window to go up or down! stuck now with around half an inch gap at the top-seems like glass has moved out of place- not sure,it makes a strange noise when pressing button to go up or down as if its about to break the glass!- but doesnt move, seems to be jammed or knocked out of place! also now when opening the door handle -the handle/latch makes a slight scratching noise as if its scrapping against the glass, please help if you can- any rough costs or what I can to try and fix for as cheap as possible will be much appreciated
