The battery is behind your calfs as you sit on the bike i think its a y7x7abs you need to lift up the seat and there is a panel you take out the battery is there.

Alf, as I haven't worked on a Dylan before, I'm not 100% sure where the battery is but most scooters are basically the same. Look for an access point through an obvious looking removable plastic panel either at the front of the bike where you place your feet or else underneath the seat. The seat bucket might need to come out as it could possibly be underneath it. If you have an owners manual then all the relevant info should be in that.
