Mend Canon Henley Working Connected Connection

HOW TO REPLACE MY CANON HENLEY GRILL ?

I HAVE FITTED A GRILL TO MY CANON HENLEY, BUT IT ISN'T WORKING. I CONNECTED ONE FEMALE SPADE CONNECTION FROM THE COOKER TO EITHER SIDE OF ELEMENT BUT THERE ARE 2 MALE SPADE CONNECTIONS ON EACH SIDE THEREFORE LEAVING ONE MALE SPADE CONNECTION EMPTY WITH NO CONNECTION. I SEE A PIECE OF RUBBER TUBE WHAT IS THIS FOR.

There is a spade connection inside each tube which also have to be connected. Ensure that the rubber tube is pulled down between the two spade connections to ensure that there is no short between the spade connections.
