how can i check my starter motor on my ford courier p reg.van it seems to be shorting out i did remove it from the engine as i thought the soleniod was faulty ,i have put it back on,and now it flattens the battery when i start the engine and the main beam warning light is on when i put the lights on although the main beam lights are not on.
wELL YOU HAVE CREATED THE PROBLEM SO ITS TIME TO TAKE IT BACK OFF
Check to make sure you put all the wires back on correctly and if push comes to shove get a rebuilt starter with new solnoid
