My PC has stopped opening Outlook Expres Email attachments in 'Word' for some reason. It has been ok in the past. I now get a message - 'Microsoft for windows has encoutered a problen & needs to close down.' I then get another message -'Windows cannot fint the appropriate file, etc.'
try downloading your attatchments to somewhere easy to spot them like on to the desktop or create a folder called attatchments in "my documents" and download them into there, then try to open them from there instead of your outlook express. it may not solve the issue with O.E. but you should at least be able to read them from the folder.
