how can i fix my goodmans plasma tv?

whats wrong with my plasma tv,when i switch it on they is sound but a very dark picture and it looks like its snowing on the screen.after about 15 minutes the picture is perfect.then after switching off for a while if turned back on same thing happens,can you help.cheers.
