But if it is one with a conventional dial and second hand there are 3 buttons on the right hand side- press the 2 outer buttons at the same time for 3 or 4 seconds. The second hand moves to 12 and the pointers stop moving while it looks for the time signal.
*If* the watch has fully reset to out of box condition then you need to press ALL 3 buttons together for 3 or 4 seconds.
It can take up to 10 minutes to set the watch, the best time to do it is when it is dark as there is less atmospheric interferemce.
There is an am/pm indicator, Press the lower of 3 buttons briefly and the second hand points to 3 if it is AM, 9 and it is PM. If it isn't right you can reset it by hold down the bottom button for 3 seconds while it is displaying AM or PM- it will swap over.
You can also do time zone setting, and recalibrate the hand position- this has become long so I'll only describe it if asked. If the hand position isn't right it will always show the wrong time- even after receiving the time signal.
Finally, I haven't mentioned the middle button- it is for the backlight- if it doesn't work change the battery before it goes flat.
