Mend Subaru Cd Player Not Play

cd player does not play?

I have a 2000 Subaru Outback with a factory am/fm cassett/ cd player and a 6 disc cd changer(all mounted in the dash).
When I put a cd into either the single player or the 6 disc changer, after a few seconds it ejects the disc without ever playing.
Any ideas ?
