How to adjust water level in dual flush toilet cistern?

Two types I know of
1. Long rod down to bottom of cistern with cup type float rising up a ratchet shaft. The long threaded rod is flow in adjuster.

2. I ball or barrel type float on a arm across width of cistern then the adjuster is on the end at inlet vavle end a short threaded rod with lock nut release the lock nut turn the rod with screwdriver (a) clockwise for less water (b) anti clockwise for more water. re-tighten lock nut.
