How can I fix the fault on my Xsara Picasso?

For no obvious reason, when I switch on my ignition my radio and the display assocated with it does not come on. If I remove the fuse and immediately put the same one back the radio will work again, but only for a time, which may be hours or weeks. Then I have to repeat the procedure.
