how to fit a new wing mirror to vauxhall astra 2000?

Hi If you need to replace the complete mirror the inner door trim / via armrests /pocket etc needs removed and also the mirror wiring disconnected from switch -The mirror assembly is held on by retaining bolts ( hidden behind rubber grommets )- fidly job
If the glass only is to be replaced the old glass can be removed with the help of a small screwdriver under the lower outer corner -releasing the bottom clip - the upper mirror clip can be released by using a small screwdriver through the hole in the mirror casing - might be worth buying a Haynes or other manual for the model
