My caller id is not working?

i have a telstar phone mobile V580 5.8 digital and we can not get the caller Id to work on it. telstra have hooked it and it is still not working on our phone. We have mis-placed our user's guide and was just wondering if there was a code or something we have to enter to activate it at our end, as the menu says nothing about the caller Id...

Ring BT 150 and ask this question
I did have the same problem with my BT Freestyle 3200,
I asked BT (Engineers) to check it out, they advised me to put in a code and see what happened ( unfortunately I cannot remember what this code was) but the automatic reply advised that the service had not been activated.

The Engineer rang me back within a few minutes and then it was arranged for the service to be activated.
- depending on your account set up - this facility may already be in place as a free service -
It took about 7 days to activate
