Mend Glow-worm 155x Hot Water Central Heating Burner

No hot water untill switching on central heating?

I have a powermax 155x a bout 8 years old and get no hot water untill switching on central heating.only once the green burner light is lit for heating we can run the hot tap and get hot water.any ideas or solutions??

pay no attention to last answer it could be a few things on powermax pump or sensors i suggest british gas for 1 off fix fee of £160 only because their are some real issues with the powermax

i suspect you have a problem with the zone valve. the valve may not be actuated by power or may be stuck or the gears may be jammed or worn. check if the head of the valve moves when you switch on hot water only. if it does not, the head may need replacing.
