Does your pc have the soundcard on the motherboard as apposed to a seperate soundcard, if so, put in the cd that came with the motherboard and load the drivers from it, you willl then get your sound back.

on the bottom tool bar click on the speaker icon and make sure it isn't set on mute. if it is just click on the unmute button and that should fix your problem.
