Mend Neff Dishwasher Wont Start

neff dishwasher won't start?

my sink backed up earlier in the week. This resulted in standing water in not only the double sink but also in the dishwasher since the outflow of the dishwasher runs through the outflow of the sink wastewater line. Now my dishwasher will drain (i can hear the motor and it drains) but it will not start. Any ideas?

We've exactly the same problem, we've got the blockage cleared but the dishwasher just wants to drain continuously.
