how to get drum out of zanussi zj1217?

Wendy, normally you don't need to remove the drum to get a trapped object out. Obviously it depends what is stuck in there but try this:
1: Check carefully inside the drum for anything sticking out of the small holes. 2: Pull back the door bellow slightly away from the drum to see if there is a small piece of clothing stuck someplace. If anything is evident you may be able to remove it with a pair of long nosed pliers.
If 1 & 2 don't resolve the problem then you need to either take off the back plate (or if your machine looks like the outer casing splits in two then you need to take off the back half of it). This gives you access to the tub. You can A: take off the sump hose & fish the object out, or B: take out the heater element & fish it out.
