Radio/cd fitted to 05 C Max, no visual display for last two weeks except on really cold mornings when display lasts for about two minutes, breaks up then disappears. Local Ford agent says 'common fault about £250 + vat to repair'
All other parts of audio system OK
My Ford cd 6000 seem to be stocked. I cant push the buttons, nothing happens when I push them. Another problem, there are noises in the speakers on the one side of the car. whats the problem?

Hi, thanks for that suggestion, have just tried this but has made no difference to display. The unit I have does not appear to have a detachable front.

Hi Alan, I have been holding off replying as I'm not sure that I know the answer. I had a similar problem some time ago and an auto electrician friend told me to press the front of the display in GENTLY, mine was a slightly curved detachable front, I don't know if yours is the same or not but it worked for me.
