my ds lite will not work?

when i calibrate my nintendo ds lite it dose not work but on the right side it works but on the left side it dose not work.
when i play a game and i am ment to click on the botton it will not let me. when i put my pen on my ds lite it is further away then it is ment to be.
Please help me!
