what woluld make my clio drop revs and struggle?

i have a t reg renault clio just recently i drove it a long run the revs started to drop and car struugled its an automatic and wasnt getting anough revs to change gear, it seems like injectors blocked but tryed injector cleaner but still the same any ideas?
