The other day while my Zanussi was just entering the spin cycle the electrics suddenly fused. I am assuming it was my washer that did it. I tried it later and it is still working but when it started to spin I noticed the sound is tinny so I turned it off and have not used it since. Any advice would be very welcome.
Ann, Phone washer repair man, Carbon brushes are probably worn out, which can cause excessive sparking (tinny noise) also can cause electric to trip. This job should be carried out by a professional but should not be very expensive.

could be a segment on the motor comms lifted.if it has a new motor will be required.because of its age may be time for a new one!.expensive repair for an older machine
