Mend Vauxhall Vectra 2006 Draining Battery Start

somethings draining battery on my vectra ?

if i leave vectra 2006 for more than one night the battery is flat it will jump start no problem but only if you earth it on engine block it wont start if you put jump leads red to red and black to black..had rac out twice but they cant find fault also been back at garage they gave us new battery but left car for 2 nights next day battery was flat ? help

1 clean and re-attach the earth connection from the battery to the chassis, and chassis to engine.
2 look for the leak - could be alternator, but it is a vectra so could be elsewhere. Disconnect +ve on battery and measure leakage with multimeter set to mA scale. Expect a few mA. Keep in place and disconnect the alternator, then other circuits till you find it. Nothing will be easy to get to of course, its a Vectra after all.
