how can i dismantle acer aspire series1670 model LW80 to fix power socket?

how can i dismantle my acer aspire 1670 series, model no. LW80 to enable me to fix/replace the power socket. the center pin is a bit slack which causes intermitent charging of battery and running the laptop. It looks like it could be a dry solder joint but i cant get in at it enough to make a better diagnosis.
any help is appreciated and many thanx in advance.
