Ghd Hair Straighners?

When I turn my ghd hair straightners on i hear a constant bleeping and the plates do notr heat up?? what is the problem and how do i fix these??

they are in shiver mode, a protection if they get cold, warm them up gently with a hairdryer and they should come back to life
