Mend Lexmark 6500 Wrong Times Program

what is wrong with my lexmark 6500?

hi all, i have re-installed my printer a hundred times and i cant figure out what is wrong, when ever i try and print something the program i am printing off (eg. word, firefox) just crashes and nothing prints. by the way i am running a mac os.
