Mend Sharp 00 Keys Cash

0, 00, 3, 6, 9, CL Sharp XE-A203 keys won't display ?

I purchased a used Sharp XE- A203 cash register. When I tried to program the time, date & tax, the 0, 00, 3, 6, 9 and CL keys beep when you press them but they will not display. I initialized the cash register several times, no correction. What am I doing wrong?

This is a common problem. Sharp accidentally made some of the keyboards with the wrong glue and this is the sort of symptom they give. There is a recall on them, so if you advise your dealer, they may replace it for you.
