Most effective method of removing dents in a car body?

for big but shallow bumps, use a sink plunger - it will suck the panel back out. for big, tight dents, drill a small (3/4mm) hole in the centre of the worst bit (works great if your ding is over a bit of trim - hides the hole). use a bit of stiff rod (piano wire works great - get it in model shops) make a right angle near the end. hook the rod through the ding and give it a good yank. fill the hole you drilled!. for small dings, use filler and sand smooth with wet and dry paper. finish it with primer and then paint it
