I have replaced the heating element in my oven but when testing it noticed that the rear outer top panel became extremely hot. I have noticed that there is a cavity where the thermostat is fixed to the rear of the oven so am assuming that the heat from inside the oven escapes through this point to the rear. Is this normal or has a seal/plate become detached?
