Mend Goodmans GDVD306R Dvd Recorder Stopped

How can I fix my DVD recorder, Goodmans,GDVD306R?

My dvd recorder was in standby mode with clock visible but at 11.57pm last night the clock stopped. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now the standby light is on but the clock isn't working and it won't switch on or respond to any commands - in brief it's switched on but nothing is working.
