Problem turning on nintendo ds lite?

Ive got a nintendo ds lite, when i turn it on, the green lite comes on for a few seconds, the bottom screen flickers and then turns off, i'm quite handy all ready have it in bits, but still have no idea, ive changed the top screen but it hasn't made a difference, any help would be great. thanks foot

if you have changed the top screen, its either not connected properly, faulty.... or more then likely theres a faulty fuse on the main baord.
