might be worse,the comms2000 unit is a common reason for horn failure,these cost between £100 and £200 and have to match model,if buying second hand.

you will need to remove the air bag.
first disconnect the battery and wait 10 mins slide a small impliment I used a lolly stick under the air bagfor about 1 1/2 inches you will feel a wire clip push it and the air bag will release (you might need to do the same at the top) carefully remove the wiring connectors and put it someware safe. in the four corners you will now see 4 brass nipples clean with fine emery paper. to replace the air bag re connect and GENTLY push into place until you hear 2 clicks Job done
