ford fiesta zetec 2003 fan direction switch not working?

hello i have a ford fiesta zetec 2003 and the blower direction is stuck on face/feet it twists round but doesn't change the direction ?

thanks steve i have checked and it had but i am unable to put the cable back on it looks like there is a black pot type of thing that is meant to be pushed on the back of the dial but i am unable to push it on ?? any ideas

its most likely to be the cable on blower has popped off either at passenger floor or at dial.
