i have a ford fiesta 1.25 2001 and wen i turn the key the ignition will turn on but wen i turn the key to the crank possition nothing happens. the car does not even try to crank over, i have been told that this maybe to do with the immobiliser. how do i fix the immobiliser on my fiesta?
Get a multimeter or a battery tester and check the battery voltage.
If that is OK check the main earth cables from the battery negative post to the chassis, and from the engine (usually fixed to one of the gearbox bolts) and the chassis.
Check the wiring to the starter motor.
