DC 07 Dyson Hoover?

I have a DC07 also it happened to mine and it turned out that the pipe had a tear i taped it up cleaned all the filters and this solved the problem

I'm Neil, Most of these dc upright hoovers have a removable plastic angle at the lower right hand side that (should) slides on a rubber 'O' ring between 2 ports one being uprigt the other normal hoovering.this part with use tends to jam as dust builds up,this will also cause the hoover to become difficult to pull handle down at times.
remove angle clean slide and spray with pledge around rubber. o.k.

There's a strong probability that the hose has a split in it and air is entering through the hole. Examine your hose.
