how do i replace watch back plate?

The better the quality the harder it is to put the back back. Cheaper watches usually snap back quite easily - the more expensive have a much tighter fit. I struggled with my wife's watch last week and in desperation took it to a jeweller who used a special press to get the back on properly - cheeky sod charged £10 and the wife has not even offered to pay me back!
