Mend FORD KA Ford Ka Doesnt

2003 FORD KA. my 1.3 duratec speedo doesnt work !?

any ideas
i have swapped the clocks.. still dont work. the digital milage doesnt go up. no cable in the back just 1 block connector into back of clocks for everything. when connector is put into clocks the speedo pulses slightly away from the bottom but then returns. but speedo doesnt work.

have you tried the speed sensor going into gearbox barry there known to go on these.
