Mend Ford Ka Worked Week Stopped

How can i fix my ford ka?

I have a ford ka and recently bought a cd player from america. we fitted the cd player and it worked for about a week and then stopped working. we then put the old stereo back in and it still doesnt work.We then changed the fuse and this ha no positive effect. Can you sugest anything we can do?
