Ford ka power problem! Help please?

ive encountered a problem with my ka, when im driving all of a sudden the airbag light came on, followed by the temperature gauge light and engine maintenance. Then shorty after the car will shudder like the engind is skipping a stroke. This repeats every few hundred yards until i slow down the the engine cuts out and wont start again without jumping it, the gransmission just ticks rapidly... Does anyone have any light to shed on my situation??? Thanks!
