Mend Renault Laguna Cable

how can i fix a stretched laguna bonnet release cable?

renualt laguna 'W' reg. When i pull the lever to release the bonnet, nothing happens. I think the cables has stretched but i can't get under the bonnet to fix it. How do i fix it?

I get this on my 99 laguna estate. You pull really hard on the release under the dash while someone presses down firmly on the front edge of the bonnet, use increasing force till it opens, don't go daft or the bonnet could be creased though!
