Mend Ryobi Pull Rope Help

How to fix pull start rope on a Ryobi trimmer?

Hi,
Wanted to see if anyone can help me with my Ryobi trimmer.
The pull start rope wont return and its hanging out of the assemble, how do I fix this?
Do I need to remove the drum and if so how do I do that?

Ryobi Garden Tools, Grass Trimmers Pull Rope Help

i repair garden machinery for a living
my best advice is to buy another machine as these machines are a bit of a pain to take apart
you need to remove the engine from the drive tube then remove the clutch drum and clutch itself then strip the recoil starter to refit the spring if it is not disloged or broken
good luck if you decide to have a go at fixing yourself
