losing the hot water when taking a shower?

i have a valiant 242 cvw combi-compact. when showering an intermitent fault occurs, you lose the hot water which can be for 30 secs plus, then get a normal hot shower and ok for a minute or so then lose the hot again . boilers fully serviced engineer says alls ok , its most frustrating , no other taps are in use when showers on ,
