glow worm compact 80e?

got the above boiler which works fine on heating i.e diverter valve switches over, fan and pump starts, fires and rads get hot. on hot water nothing. valve changes over but then nothing. i can hear water flowing thru plate heat ex but no fan everything quiet. am i right in thinking cud be hw flow switch gone? any help much app.
