how do you reboot sky plus box via menu?

Sky switches off for a few minutes while it resets.
Just switch back on.

If you mean NOT during playback then you have a fault with the dish: Misalignment, bad LNB, bad cable(s)

BTW to reboot a Sky box (but I am not sure what good it will do), just unplug it from the power. Leave it for about two minutes and then plug it back in. It will reboot.
