Mend Itronics 512 mb Mp3 Music Folder

write protection?

I have a 512 mb IItronics mp3 player and it is now telling me that i can't copy music to it from media player or by dragging and dropping as it tells me it is write protected.I am unable to create a new folder on the mp3 player for the same reason.How do I un-write protect the mp3 player?
