Hotpoint WF 321 will not turn on?

I have a hotpoint wf321 but and I am having problems turning it on, as every time i do so it blows the fuse. I have pulled the machine to see if there is a leak but there is no traces of any water, I have also looked at the wiring but this all seems ok. Is this a common fault and is there a solution?
