Mend Potterton 30-80 Boiler Heating Systems

Potterton boiler - green light keeps noisily flashing?

I have a 6 year old Potterton 30-80 boiler. It is regularly checked/cleaned.
For the past two days the green light has keept flashing and it is also quite noisy ( clicking ?) It sounds as if it was trying to fire up but not succeeding. If will not lock out either.
What could the problem be ? Should I worry i.e. is it dangerous?
