can a cell phone which has been dropped in water for a few seconds be fixed?

This happened to me a couple of times and was lucky as the mobiles still worked after! What you can do is open the phone, take the battery and SIM out; dry with a cloth as much as you can and then leave in a warm place (airing cupboard) overnight or even longer. (You can also use a hair dryer). This worked for mine. My friend dropped hers in the toilet(!!) not long ago and the phone did not suffer any damage. I suppose, however, that all depends on how long it was in the water and the make of your phone. Hope this helps. Regards
