Pressure too high Baxi combi instant 105e?

I noticed that my boiler was making strange noises, and so when I saw the pressure had dropped to zero I then turned on the cold tap to the boiler to increase the pressure. Unfortunately it has now gone to above three, which is far too high, after bleeding several saucepans full of water out the radiators, and using the overflow pressure valve to let water escape that way, I am still finding the pressure will only drop just under three. I can’t believe I put that much water in the system? I now find when I turn the electric back on to put the boiler on, the gauge goes over three, and a pipe from the boiler starts dripping (worryingly) So currently have turned everything off.
Any ideas on how else to reduce the pressure, or do I need a plumber as recommended by the manual, (but as this was a self made fault I feel I should be able to fix it)
Thanks

Bottom line is leave to a qualified heating engineer as I have in the trade for 20 years and the fact is working on a gas appliance if unqualified is illegal and mostly dam right dangerous.

Hi I have a similar problem with a Baxi combi Duo Tec 30 - no special filling loop - just valves. Pressure has become high on more than one occasion as well as dropping on a cold frosty night. Have happily ncreased pressure from time to time and once have reduced pressure by taking water out of radiator. But now often seesm to be high pressure. Can't find a leak but I suppose it may not be visible? Or am I not turning round valves off tightly enough??

Had it serviced last November and don't particularly want to call out again because of cost.

Would love some help!!!

Hence my comment about making sure the filling loop tap is completely shut, Claire. Dead easy to have it open a fraction! If you think about it, if you take water out, and none is going in, the pressure must come down - unless there is a problem between the domestic hot water and central heating heat exchangers.

Thanks John I will have another go at bleeding more out the radiators tonight then, just seems strange that so much water needs to be taken out when the tap was only turned on for a few seconds.
Cheers for the advice

Make sure the filling loop tap is shut.
Continue bleeding water out of the rads.
Don't touch the PRV - it'll come back to haunt you.
The pressure will eventually drop.
