Mend Peugeot Speedfight 100 Carburetor

how can i fix my peugeot speedfight 100?

I cleaned my carb out and tried to put ir back together but I can't get the needle and slider back in properly i just get a slack cable when the spring compresses. i have match the grooves up on the slider but it only goes so far down the when i put the top on I just get a slack cable
