Mend Lock Handle Shut

How do I fix my broken upvc window lock?

I have upvc windows and one of the window, the handle is working, but when I shut it, you can still push open. the bar that locks the window is stuck and does not move when the handle is turned. How can I fix this problem.

sounds like lock spindle is broken, to replace lock re move the two screw covers on handle, remove handle screws, pull off handle, look under shash where lock is you will see aline of srews holding the lock in place remove, pull lock down to remove, take lock to local double glazeing firm for replacement, refit job done
